Foam Filling swingarm, What you don't expect /Want to find
Finally got around to filling the swingarm, hand my surical gloved on and went about undoing all the bolts methodicallly.
got to the part where you take out the spindle, withdrew it and this is what i found!!

Judging by the wear on the spindle this has been gone for a while, and juding by the shape of the mangled needle bearings its been gone for a very long while.
So called up Mr Fracne who was most helpful and is sending over a cleaned and re-lubed hub and mint spindle.
before filling the swingarm, i found this in it. now how in the name of jaysus did that get in there?

JOB Done

Shame it wasn't a £50 note instead huh!? :D
That is a catastrophic bearing failure! All I found under the hub was the then usual little stones! Not no more!
When I rebuilt my Bandit4, I found one of the petrol tanks mounting rubber grommets inside the coolant expansion tank; not too difficult to imagine how it would get there, except it was a bit larger than the bottle's filler neck!??? I also "lost" a 10mm spanner once; it ended up inside the RVF's zorst!
Plug those holes boys & girls!
P.s. Did you plug the two holes at the front as well? That's how all the crap gets in!

I have found, nuts, washers, exhaust spring, dirt and grit, even a mouse nest, but it was unlucky to get a plug to bounce off the shock spring and into the swinging arm.
I find grey duct tape seals the 2 holes near the shock absorber, and polystyrene [ packing from TV etc box] can be cut to shape and fitted in the hub end, cheap and removable.
The 650 Bros has 2 rubber bungs fitted as standard, I wonder if they fit.
Dave.

i was as surprised as you all are. there was some thing that looked like a tank rubber in there too, as was the customary grit/pebbles/lunar dust but one swift blast with the industrial vacuum cleared that out.
for those who are looking at this, it's an easy job to do, although you do need a large strong circlip pliers
