WELL DONE to those that said plugs....he put new plugs in and hey presto it started first time :D :D
Personally I couldn't see how all the old plugs could have failed at once but I guess if a couple have gone that's enough for non-starting? Anyway....glad to be proved wrong and will bear it in mind if I ever have the same problems ...

hmm...."always" eh? ....interesting as I'm getting a few flat spots on the RVF. Before this thread I was thinking maybe the carbs needed balancing but now wonder whether to change the plugs 1st..?
