slow pick up...

Hi everyone ,just got my rvf on the road after spending a few quid on it.it seems to run like a pig when cold, i'm allways have to fiddle with the idle to get it to tick over?.When its warm on pull away you have to give it a few revs for it to go anywhere ,then through the gears it has a kind of small missfire that sort of picks up through the revs, then it runs smoothish.The battery is on its last legs or its not charging?,it will start on the button most of the time but then you have to bump it or jump it.Dont tell me that i have bought a duff rvf or are these common problems, did'nt really have that many probs with my old nc30.I have thought about taking it for a tune & then puttin it on the dyno???.....

first thing to do mate is get to the bottom of the battery problem....once you have done that then you can determine whats causing the bike to run like a bag of turd!!!!!! :D :D
