Engine oils which type and how often do you change it
servicing my nc30 atm and just wondered what kind of oil everyone is using and how often they change the oil, filter
My bike has just hit 25,000 kms ( yep its still a baby )
I change the oil every 5k with new filter,
I use motul 5100 10w40 and a oem oil filter with magnetic sump plug
thinking of trying some motul 300v 5w40 now
what you guys using ?

10/40 stuff from Hein Gericke. It's 5100 Motul re-packaged. I change the oil twice a year and a new filter each time, not mileage related.

I change mine on average 3 times a year, new stubby filter each time. I use a HDD magnet on the filter too and a magnetic sump plug..

Once a year oil and filter change per bike (used both genuine Honda and HiFlo oil filters).
Previously used Castrol GPS 10w-40 (in green can):

Type GPS is recently replaced by Castrol Power RS 4T 10w-40 (in gold can):

Will pickup 12 litre RS 4T in nice deal this weekend and couple of new oil filters.

Castrol 10w40 semi synth, not changed often enough lately, though once a year is normal!
