Latest incarnation of my hybrid.
I've been spending a bit of time in the garage over Easter and completed some updates to my hybrid.
Spot the difference....

Re: Latest incarnation of my hybrid.
The exhaust is different. The 3HE system does not fit too well, so I swapped it for standard 4JH headers and the can from the 400.
Think the other end....
That van is knackered, it should not move but it does!

That is looking really tidy. How does the RGV front end compare with the standard setup?

Not sure how it rides yet, not been able to get out for a ride! Should be able to go for a blast tomorrow.
It is quite a tidy conversion, some parts need modification and the steering lock no longer works, but it does look good!

Re: Latest incarnation of my hybrid.
Well, went out for a bit of a blast today and she rides very nicely!
I didn't go for an all out attack, 'cos I am rusty after winter and there are new brakes, new tyres and a new fresh build to check out and bed in.
What I can say that she is stable at speed and is not too flighty over bumps and surface changes. I thought there might be a bit of a stability issue as the overall height of the RGV front end is less than the 3TJ. I forgot to take the drop of the top yoke into account, the forks are both of similar length, but with the flat yoke of the RGV the front end is about 10mm lower! I'll take some more accurate measurements later, but the affect is like pushing the 3TJ forks through the yokes by 10mm...
She is nice on the road where she will be spending all of her time, she might be a bit soft for serious track work but I don't really do trackdays.
Brakes are good though...

Re: Latest incarnation of my hybrid.
Looking good Alex. Lots of time well spent there!
Watch out with those 6 pot calipers though. They can be pigs for going spongy. A lot of people with the zx7s and gsxr750 change them for the tokico 4 pots fitted to srad600s because of the problems!
You just need to get that tank painted now! Nice work.

Re: Latest incarnation of my hybrid.
The whole front end only took about 3 days in the garage. Thank goodness for holidays around Easter and a sister-in-law & nephew to distract the missus while I spend time in the garage!!
I had some of these 6 pots on my RGV and they were fine, I don't ride too much so they don't get all dirty.
We'll see...

Nice modification that.
I just planted a 1wg front end on a 3tj with a little work, it meant i could get the blue pot R1 calliper on for better braking.
