No power at high revs
Hi I have fitted a Ethos 1/2 system ( open race can ),120 main jets with NC30 Club needles , new std filter , the plate in front of the snorkle removed and balanced the carbs .The bike runs smooth with a lot of power around 8-10,000 but it doesn't seem to make any more up to 14,000 . Is this normal ? I thought it should make max power well up in the revs. Any ideas

Re: No power at high revs
Hi
When I got the bike It had an end can and didn't impress me then . I only added the exhaust and had a tinker while the body work was getting a respray. It does go better then it did with no dead spot at low revs and great at 8-10,000 revs but no extra above that. Looks like a trip to the dyno.

Re: No power at high revs
Right ,sorted it ,only had the carbs out 3 times
. I found the air screws wound in to 1 turn so I wound them out to 2 1/4 as per the book and a bit of mastic in the fuel line ? . Put the std needles back in with the extra .5mm washer and 120 mains. It pulls all the way with no bogging at 5k and reving up to the red line . :D
I can now start putting all the resprayed bodywork and tank on the bike. I'll post the pics in the graphics bit when I've finished :D
