Im new here and need some help/advice regarding wheel sizing

Post by cbr400rider »

Im looking to purchase a set of tyres urgently and i own a CBR400 NC29 1990 and the wheel sizes are:-

FRONT 120/60R 17
REAR 150/60R 17

The ones im looking at however are from a 1989 RRK cbr400 and the size is

FRONT 17" Rim 120 x 60
REAR 18" Rim 150 x 60

will these fit my bike?

need help ASAP.

thanks

yep your fine for those sizes mate, can even use/go to a 160 on the rear. first number is tyre width, second is tyre wall, which relates to the vertical section coming off the rim, and last number is the rim size, which means you need to look at a 17z... not 18". the z... after last number relate to the speed rating for tyres in general, to check out what they mean go to http://www.motorcycletrainingkent.com/T ... eedRatings" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; .hope this helps, remember that these are what your life can rely on.

if your talking tyres front is the same i believe but rear is different, wheels are not (without new spacers) interchangeable.
