A kind of Hybrid - Bimota pics
I'm taking the engine out of my Bimota to have a little work done on it ... but I thought show you a couple of pics.
It wasn't to difficult even though I haven't done it on this bike and don't have a manual for it. The chain was a bit confusing, I couldn't get it off the front sprocket. So I took the rear wheel out, and dropped the engine with the it still on.
The sprocket cover is cut away to get the frame fitting tighter ... oh and there's bugger all to the bike in terms of weight ... but I can only just lift the engine on my own.

After all this I cleaned the engine and kinda spotted some interesting things ... like the top mounts are M6 ... when they should be M8. Theres a tag on the back of the side stand mount that's probably been taken off by a slapping chain.

Lovely looking bike. But is that a Suzuki bandit engine?

How very dare you !!!!
It's a GSX-R1100W (Watercooled) engine. I've been reading the manual and plucking up courage to take it appart

Well on Tuesday I took the engine apart ... which was a bit nervwracking but having read the manual a few times it seemed fairly straight forward and it was :)
I was surprised the engine was so simple.
Engine and Rad with the oilcooler below
Cam cover off
Head off
Head
And barrels off too.
It's all gone to the engineering workshop to be flowed and the barrels rebored for the new pistons.
