Major Help needed please

Right were to start??

Iv just bought a new chain and sprockets for my bike, and chain riveter too. Got the sprockets and chain fitted just need to do the rivet up, so i got out the riviter, read the instructions twice (very strange for me!) got the first one done not too bad, come to the second one and as im doing up the nut to flare the rivet the aligment bolt breaks! so iv now got a half riveted link but more worryingly the chain riveter is on the chain and no bolt to remove it! Iv tried mole grips on the end and it wont move, any other ideas please??

when you say the bolt breaks are you saying the head has snapped,so you have some stud left,if so and you have access to welding gear weld a larger nut on what's left of the stud ,let it cool down then try again.
