Nc29 Electrical problem
can some body please help?
i kept getting a flat battery so i got a new one fitted it started lovely, however it only lasted one day then it was flat so i charged it back up tested it the reading was 12.6v started the bike and left it running for 10mins tested the battery 12.3v even at 5000rpm it reads 12.3v. if i turn the lights on it drops to 11.7v as soon as i turn them off it goes back to 12.2v/12.3v.
I've checked the wires they all seem fine how do i test the rec/reg and alternator?
thanks,
Lee

Re: Nc29 Electrical problem
i believe haynes can explain how to test your reg/rec, sounds like this is the problem. or take it to your local and get them to check, i recently had same prob stemming from putting incorrect bulbs in and had to replace reg/rec, battery and starter solenoid. but yes those volts are way out.

Re: Nc29 Electrical problem
if you are getting no charge rate what so ever then it is more than likely the reg rec thats faulty.

Re: Nc29 Electrical problem
With all the electrical problems I have been having I have done a lot of searching and found quite a few useful links. This one is good
http://www.cr-x.org/cbr250/forum/topic. ... C_ID=31226" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
One of the guys recommends an R1 reg/rec.
Anyone heard or tried this?
