Cheers.

I think I might get a set of bushes as I think they will be damaged by now. Were the bushes in yours damaged when you eventually seperated them?

How did you manage to remove the oil seal by the way?

Thanks again for all the help.

Give me call sometime - will advise how to sort this out - it often happens when the lower bush slides inside the upper bush and locks the the two halves together... several reasons for this.

You often have to sacrifice the fork lower as they are cheap and easy to locate.

Self tappers, lots of pulling. Not much fun and a big surprise that i didn't damage the lower. I am sure GF will give you some much better guidance though.

Cheers

Managed to seperate the forks yesterday after heating them a bit. :D

The fork bushes are damaged but I expected that to be honest. New bushes on order from Honda and should be in on Tuesday. 8-)

Thanks for the help everyone.

fitted the springs from gf.. service and communication from gf was very good. nice chap.

ride is much better now as the shocks actually absorb the bumps instead of throwing the bike everywhere..

would recommend this mod for everyone!

just need to save up for a rear shock conversion now.. anyone done this? how much did it set you back?
