CB400 Super Bol D'or --- 2009 --- Just ordered one
Hi All,
Just a quick intro. Name's Tom and I live in a little place called Horwich near Bolton. Just ordered a new CB400 Super BolD'or and should take delivery of it on Tuesday/wednesday 10/11 March.
Currently got a Yamaha 1700 MT-01 which is a beast of a bike but it's got a sad looking blue frame, swingarm and wheels which make it look like an old winter hack even though it's a pretty new bike. It weighs almost 300Kg with a full tank of fuel and is a right handful to push around the garage :D
Anyway, I love bikes like the CB400 and have very fond memories of my CB-1. It was a right little SCREAMER and you always felt like you were going faster than you actually were. Great fun! So I decided to buy a new CB400 and keep it as a second bike, but then changed my mind and am getting shut of the MT-01 until such time that I can afford a new big bike to accompany the little Bol D'or.
Any other VTEC Super Fours or Super Bol D'or owners in here from the UK??

The new CB400 looks good and I wish you lost of fun with it.
How did you get to order it? Via Honda UK or straight from Japan?
Cheers, Mansie

Hmmmm, in the usual "Dealer" tradition, there has been a delay and the delivery will now be on Friday the 13th!!!
Why can no British companies do anything right? The day a company promises me something and then fulfills that promise without any hitches, will be the day I show my arse on the Town Hall steps!

It's a Grey import then?
Yeah, probably expensive with the weak pound and strongish Yen.
My own CB400 was first sold in the UK by Fastline, and that is certainly a grey import.

Mmmmm, NC36 - nice! Alway liked them.
Yes, the NC42 is a grey import - Honda don't export them to the UK.

Hello Mate, cb400 is a lovely looking bike (never ridden one!!).Rocket centre in Blackburn have a brand new one in for about five and a half grand. It looks very very nice. http://www.rocketcentre.co.uk/used-bikes/info_36.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Out of interest, once you have ridden it for a bit will you let me know what the tank range is?????? I thought about getting one in the future, but I would be using it for a fair bit of mileage.
Heres the japanese site, they work out 5-6k new due to the current crap exchange rate. So the one at Rocket Centre is fairly priced. At first I thought it was mega expensive.

Hi Al,
The bike is returning 49mpg and has a "Full to Empty" tank range of 195 miles. In reality, you'd be filling it up every 150 miles or so, because the fuel indicator starts to flash like mad at that range and no matter how many times you tell yourself there's another 4 litres in the tank, you start hunting for a petrol station (well, I do).
No doubt others will claim MUCH higher mpg figures, but I tend to keep the engine buzzing and am not the slightest bit economy conscious.
Oddly enough, I saw another one today at Rivington Barn on an 08 plate - well, it was the unfaired one, but in exactly the same colours. What are the chances of that?
