m-max limiter cut for FZR400R

Post by fujigas1 »

Hi All.
New to the site but just wondered if anybody had an English wiring diagram for the M-Max digital limiter cut. I have one for my FZR but the diagram is in Japanese! There's only 4 wires 2 red/blue and 2 green/blue, anybody know where they go to?
cheers

In the back of the speedo. You need to take the top fairing off then the clocks. you'll find the loom connects to the speedo, unplug it and plug the M-Max into the loom instead.
You'll be able to go over 180kmh (112mph) .... on private roads and racetracks

Hi
cheers for the reply and info, I'll check out the back of the clocks. I was under the impression that's were it went but was a little foxed as the japanese instructions have a diagram, but it shows the under seat area of the battery and cdi area, so I then presumed it was ment to go around this area. :?
I take it the M6 an M62 are private roads then?? :lol:

Ah - yes ... I do remember theres an M-Max that does go under the seat ... but I don't remember how.

Maybe scan the instructions and post them up ???

I cant believe theres still some fzrs out there that arent deristricted!
You could just take the easy option and fit a mph converter.

I took mine out to see the effect. It jolts the bike horribly when it cuts in, so it went back in.

Hi

Or you can buy this little number it fits the 3tj but not 1wg's and it lets you run the bike with out the exup motor only....

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... :middle:uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

But I agree fit a mph gold converter to the bottom of the speedo drive for the blue one will fit to tight at the top.

Good Luck !!!
