Aprilia rs250 front end
Hi
Has anyone ever done an Aprilia RS250 front end transplant on an NC30. I know they are supposed to have awesome brakes, and the upside down forks should be good too but would they be better than properly sorted nc30 stuff?
I have checked the length out and think if they are dropped though the triple clamps a bit they might just work. Any feedback?

Re: Aprilia rs250 front end
The only thing i would say is that the RS250 is a lot lighter in weight then the NC so you would have to have the units re-valved to suit the bike weight. To be honest if you went for the late spec NC30 units with a full rebuild with uprated springs would be just as good. The only thing is that they wont be USD's. But you can go for ZXR or NC35 if you want that.

I have often wonered why this wasn't really done, I put it down to the length but if you can get them to fit with no clearence issues and keep the correct geometry go for it... Brembo calipers and usd fully adjustable forks... Nice
Just thought though has the RS got smaller brake discs than the 30?

Past Aussie member RichoneNZ had them fitted to his road NC30 and liked them from what I recall.
Both sorts of forks would work equally well if set up properly I imagine, but the aprilias USD's and calipers would look trick.

Think aprilia discs are 296mm and the hondas are 298mm in diamter, or may be the other way around!
