CDI Unit
Hi guys,
as per my other thread it turns out the CDI unit is buggerd.
My mech is posting it to me (he doesn't live that close) as he is not exatcly electronically minded so I'm going to have a look at it myself, with the help of my Dad lol.
Basically, as I know fuck all about them, is there anything I should be looking for? Apart from the obvious burnt out wires and circuitry.

Re: CDI Unit
Go to the banditalley.net site and in the 400cc forum search (DIY CDI Repair) there is some info on the bandit cdi that is very similar to what you got.

Re: CDI Unit
OK, so the unit was dead, components just worn out over time.
Have ordered a new one. It's a "derestricted" one, not really bothered about that bit of it to be honest, just as long as it does the job.
Parts finder only came up with one at £130 + P&P, the after market unit I found was £88.50 + P&P, let's hope going for the cheaper option was not in vain.
Should arrive in about 7 days (give or take), hope it goes well.
