cbr400F problem

Post by sjaak trekhaak »

good day to you all,

I have a problem with my cbr400F. The rubbers between the airfilter and the carbs are in a very bad shape and therefore i'm looking for a replacement. This seemed to be much harder than i thought because this is a very rare model in europe. is there anyone who can help me out here? it would be great to get new rubbers, but I wouldn't mind an alternative either.

Not quite sure which model the CBR400F is.... but i do know that the following have manuals..
CBR400RR-J NC23 Triarm from 1988, CBR400RR-K NC23 Triarm 1989,
CBR400RR-L NC29 Gullarm 1990-91, CBR400RR-N Gullarm1992-93
CBR400RR-R NC29 Gullarm 1994<

the much older CBR400 Aero (jelly mould panels) does not have a workshop manual.

all of the above do have microfiche that have Japanese descriptions + English numbers.

the CBR400F i mean is the NC17. from what i've read i understood it was produced for the Japanese market. Honda produced about 50.000 of them in the mid eighies. since then a very small amount has been imported to europe. that's why i figured there might only be a japanese manual

Hi Mate
Your right with the manual for the NC17 is in Japanese only :( I have one but have never had chance to scan it  I do have a genuine Honda parts manual scanned to my pc, I could email you a copy of this or just the pages you want if that's any help :) Just email me your email address.
Parts for these bike are quite hard to find in the UK, mainly cos I'e been every where and bought all the bit's I could find  I have 4 of these bike's plus a garage load of bits :!: I'll have a look at weekend and see if I have a spare set of rubbers somewhere in the garage and I'll have a look at Fastline superbikes on Saturday, as I have been working up there on Saturdays sorting the breakers department out for Kev ;)
Regards
