Tanks are getting a bit tbhin on theground now, esp ones without dents. I can get parts from Japan but the tank would be expensive to post. What plastics are you after, I have a couple of tails. As for the reg/rec, go for one of the later "finned" type ones, the earlier ones are pantsladybiker wrote:anyone know of anywhere i can get hold of a cb1 petrol tank, regulator, plastics at decent prices?

i have a tail in need of some repair and a mudguard that's usable but could use spraying. both (in the case of the tail, nominally) in black. based in portsmouth. i'm not too interested in the hassle of posting, but a couple of beck's gets them if you can pick up in portsmouth.

cheers. i have a tail piece but some bits are broken some lugs are broke its the tank more than anythign and the regulator, my bike is terrible in the cold i have to charge it every night and im thinking its that i need to sort out, but today it was real bad took ages to start wouldnt tick over really lumpy at first but ok by the time i got to work but had same prob when i came out of work.
And a dent in the tank if it aint too bad. i have a hole in mine at top so when i fill right up it comes out of the hole.

Is the hole meant to be there? Or is it a rust hole? If it's meant to be there you're breather might be blocked - someone else had tha same problem recently. If you need the bike to use, I can sell you the reg/rec of my spare bike and pick myself up another one from Japan.ladybiker wrote:cheers. i have a tail piece but some bits are broken some lugs are broke its the tank more than anything and the regulator, my bike is terrible in the cold i have to charge it every night and im thinking its that i need to sort out, but today it was real bad took ages to start wouldnt tick over really lumpy at first but ok by the time i got to work but had same prob when i came out of work.

Sounds more like your battery is dead. Where are you, one of the forum members will always have a look.

Theres a decent looking tankl on yahoo japan right now. It's going cheap but post to the UK won't be, I'm guessing about £50
