Billy, They are actually carbon Fibre Air ducts on the HRC RC45's I had a set a few years back to see if could get then to fit the NC35 (they wont).

As for your views on the mentallity of road racers you can shove that up your arse!!! Joey did not have a death wish, and what does that say for Shaun, think you may find he will be on the start line in June again this year, and was 07 Shaun crashed!

it was indeed,i think thats what he meant to write to be honest,i agree with abrmoto on joey not having a death wish........i believe that no riders have a death wish.obviously they know the risks that are involved,no different to any other motorsport but in truth its possibly safer than when we all go out for a blast on our bikes,with two way traffic.i think joey was a true great,not just at road racing but in other aspects of his life,charity work etc.........

back on topic with decals, dont use the image works! I found them to be absolutely crap, almost all graphics were the wrong size in some way and it took them 4 attempts to get the number boards shapes right, aswell as me haveing to make at least 10 calls for them to take my order, werent even that cheep either and some ont he graphics are not laminated meaning they will fade with the sun light!, not happy atall and i put the fact my bike looks nice entirely down to the hours of work put in by the painter

I still remember so clearly that day in the workshop when it was announced he'd highsided his 125 Honda into a tree, oops. Thats racing. He did tend to ride like he had a bit of a death wish though, as did his late brother. Typical TT men!

billy im sorry but joey won 26 tt's and if anything he showed that clean and smooth racing was the way to win a tt, so i don't agree that he rode with a death wish. im sorry that you lost freinds to the island.

if you race a bike you WILL crash, and death is always a possability (i.e. the late craig jones)
joey new the risks and accepted them as did robert dunlop (and any racer) but that does not mean thay had a death wish.

joey did not ride like an anamal he was smooth and precise

I do fully accept all that, and I don't think that despite what I say anyone loves road racing more than I do. Believe it or not. Seeing Joeys bike makes my mind race a bit. There is an awful dark side to biking in my opinion, but thats all it is, an opinion. I do think that if you want to be competitive at the TT you must have scant regard for your own safety. You must keep it at the back of your mind. Riders tend to analyse the bike more than themselves, its so much easier to do that, have a think about that point, its actually a very good one.
I am also NOT saying these guys were unaware of the risks, they were prepared to die as must anyone who wants to ride that race at that level. I am not some arrogant wanker belittling anyone or some sort of smart arse. There have been so many good TT riders, but there is a balance of skill and risk taking. Ultimately you cannot just win on skill alone.
Also yes, clean and smooth is good, but DJ and Phil McCallen did not have this style (Nor did Mick Doohan, Kenny Roberts or Kevin Shwantz for that matter) What made them such successful riders?

billy i do agree,
racing has a very dark side, and yes it has to be put to the back of every racers mind or thay wouldn't race.
and i don't doubt your racing knowlage or support/comitment

i think you miss-understod what i ment about being clean + smooth.
in my opinion joey showed that was how to win theTT, Shwantz roberts doohan and the likes of where outstanding riders ON TRACK but none of them have won a TT.

as for McCallen and finnigan for that matter, well i would forgive anyone for thinking thay had a death wish.
obviously nither did, and sadly finnigan was killed in 2008
but both riders were quick but ragged, and damn right scary yet addictivly entertaining.

I think Phillip was the exeption that proved the rule. That man was kin nuts, on and off a bike!! Seriously funny of a bike and seriously nuts on one, and he was one one all the time, amazing rider and had no fear at all.

It is not a death wish any road race rider has it is belief in ones own ability, miss placed may be but total belief that "it will not happen to you" Even after it happens once some of us still belive it wont happen again if you get away with it.

I'll be starting a thread nearer the time as there are quite a few of us that go to the NW. I hope to be able to get on the bike and ride at that point, if not I'll be hobbling about of crutches and taking pics :D
