nc30(taking the piss!!!!)

Post by wullvfr »

as some of you are aware of i am contemplating selling the nc30,but i have a gut feeling it knows as well and is royally taking the piss out of me..........

for a start, the front coil is as temperamental as the missus, one of the connections is a poor fit which is my fault...i should have tightened it by now but i have not had the chance, but the other one is a good connection, fit's like a glove but every now and then decides not to work.

but more annoying than that, there was smoke coming up from the front....firstly i thought there was a water leak as it was very similar to the time when i had a big gaping hole in the radiator, and the fact that i had both rads off only days before made me think it was this even more, but in closer inspection there was no water leaks at all.....

next i thought, maybe it's an exhaust leak but after taking all the fairings off and inspecting everything closely with a light there was no smoke at all,no exhaust leaks at the header...nothing!!!! :? .....wtf!!!!

it just decided to stop after i take all the fairings off in a bloody cold workshop...... :x

anyway, the funny thing with the coil is,the connection that is good works absolutely fine up until the other one falls out and it then runs on 2 cylinders, twice this has happened........

happy days, the joys of biking!!!but i suppose it's what you would expect from a bike that's 15 years old.....so i think on that note i should stop moaning

Mate ,,,,, many a good tune is played on an old fiddle ,,,,,, these bike need lots of TLC , but once you get her well looked after , they are a shear joy ,,,,,,

the Nc30 is thet type of bike that can be resurrected from just about the gates of hell , themsleves ,,, they just need work and not bodgy work ,,,, :Bmods:

if you treat her right she looks after you ,,, oh boy does she :Puke:

:D its not about the destination ,, its more about the journey , :ugeek:

yeah i think thats all it was...couldn't understand why it suddenly stopped when i took the fairings off.

it seemed to do it occasionally......but i checked the pipes and there is no exhaust leaks so i think it was either water hitting the exhaust because the weather was as usual....shite!!!!!
