Well, the front exhausts are blowing where they connect to the other pipework out to the exhaust, the "clamps" or as i'd call them bits of cardboard have pretty much eroded away and well, pipes aren't exactly secure, so just wondering what size i need, or how you guys would go about securing it and sealing it up?? Plus, pipes aren't standard either i don't think. Front might be standard, but the rest of it isn't.

Got a not very good pic to show ya what i mean, i'm quite crap at trying to explain things sometimes!! lol :lol:

Post a pic of your exhaust system and we'll tell you if its standard or not.

Common problem with the standard system is where rear section meets the front pipes the mild steel gets badly corroded, where the clamps are. If it is a standard system then dont worry you have 3 options:

1. Buy an aftermarket full/half system, mucho £££££
2. Go to a local welder and get then to cut the corroded mild steel and weld stainless steel collars, making your whole system stainless.
3. Contact Graeme France, member on here, he does a replacement service thats the same as option 2 but you have to send your exhaust to him, will cost you around £65 (i think) contact him to find out for sure.

This repair in our jig is £40 BTW - 2 day turn around.

Just send us the corroded rear half for nice new tig welded sleeves so it all becomes plug and play. Feel free to call most hours for address or do it all via paypal ....

New studs / nuds / copper exhaust port gaskets (100 plus) always in stock should they be needed.

Can yo do the same for NC24 rear exhausts and collectors?

you can get some exhaust clamps fomr your local halfroadus - the front pipes should be a nice snug fit in the rear system and as we can see form your pic - you don't have the std mild steel issues so why not whip the bodywork off and get under there properly and see what you can do.

the std honda clamps are 18373-ML0-000 and 18374-ML0-000

The sleeve gasket for it is 18391-310-000

Get these in and you are sorted... :ugeek:

Well got some pics to show the rear exhaust, but got another pic to show you what i mean, i did have a go at it a while back, but now its just annoying me!! lol Was looking for opinions, and well, been really helpful so far

Pictures just haven't done any justice either! looks right shit state! didn't realise it was getting bad, normally good on the up keep of my bikes!
Third pic is what i mean, they just aren't secure, one time i let a mate have a go to compare it with his, and well, when i got back to mine, i thought, corr, my bike sounds loud then find out the front headers have popped out!

that is a battered ethos system matey - it should hae a really nice interference fit onto the front pipes.

I would get a gasket for it and see how it looks.

Thefront pipes look like they need the old gasket and rotten skankiness cleaning off them.

After that I bet it is in good shape

Sweet, yeah, think its seen better days, they were painted with grey ht paint and looked awful so got alot of it off, had about fifty coats! Took a while to get it off! Just needs a bit more time and patience and they should polish up nicely.

Yeah they do look skanky, the stuff that was on there before just fell apart, is it this part number for the gaskets: 18391-310-000 or the other 2 that you had posted?

Yeah - that is the right one.. The other numbers were for clamps. The rusty stiff held on with zipties should not be on the pipes and it might be interfering with the fitment - get it tapped off :shock:
