I have gold HRC magnesium 18" rear wheel hanging on my shed wall I always knew it was a little special untill I found a old book confirming it is off a 1987 RVF 400

I don't think the RVF400 existed before 1994 and certainly not in the 80's. And they never had an 18" rear wheel. You thinking of the VFR?
