I think the cost has been about 1500 + 300 (which I paid for the bike originally) over the space of 7-8 years (who's counting), which I thought was ok, I had sold another NC23 that was 90% complete (lacked an exhaust and ECU) that was made up from spare parts that i'd bought along the way.
I'm not sure I'd ever strive for concourse and have deliberately ruined it's collectability by fitting the 900 front-end - that said, it's only a case of swapping back the original yolks, but I definitely want to get all the plastics restored and the tank painted.
Also to put things into perspective my other bike is a Ducati 907, which I've just spent £101 for new front indicator lenses. Which makes the CBR seem positively economical.
