I've been stuck in New Zealand for over 6 weeks and only got back last Thursday, so only just read your post. Well done! Although I wouldn't risk my bikes it's good to know they can be used like that and survive. Now I need to find your YouTube video.
This coronavirus situation is shit so thankfully you made it safely which is great.

I went again to Santa pod  and managed to only do 13.22 at 97mph this time! There was again a bad head wind but I managed to launch off the line alot better starting from 8000 rpm.

The reason why the CBR 400 was 13.1 was most likely cause of the Pirelli supercorsa diablo tyre I used to get a great launch  I need to put that tyre on my zxr 400 and go to Santa pod next time or even my next trackday. Supercorsa diablo tyres are expensive but awesome!

My youtube channel is called bowches

Checked out your channel. Looks pretty scary revving the nuts off your bike, I just couldn't do it to mine, too much mechanical sympathy for 30 year old bikes I guess. I want mine to last a few more years yet and then be in a fit state to sell on at a reasonable profit. But well done for posting those times.

Thanks.

I found a another zxr 400 near Euston station.

Also found an old mate on his nc29 and the three of us were out on the bikes to Ace cafe.

I've joined facebook recently and its alot quicker to use than 400greybike

I will share some pics

Does that mean you've bought another ZXR400 or just spotted it near Euston station? Interesting grey colour, obviously not original. Never made it to the Ace. My home town is Epping in Essex, not too far from the Ace but in all the years I lived there I never made the journey. Now I live in Cheshire so it's not going to happen any time soon. Having said that, I made the effort to get to the Bike Shed in Shoreditch, which was well worth it.
It's a shame people have jumped ship and headed for Faceache. I've managed to avoid it and don't really see the attraction. Some people seem to spend half their life glued to their phone...whereas I spend mine on bike forums

The guy who owns the zxr 400 lives in Euston. Yea the grey colour was done by the previous owner. You should come to Ace, I really like it to be honest. its the only place where I can get to make a social life

I have been to the bike shed a few times in London and the food there is expensive. Yea alot of people are glued to their phones these days and dont actually look up and talk to people lol. Its not good and that includes me lol, I am glued to youtube and bike videos lol

I am really liking the new zxr 250 with the four cylinder engine. Its got traction control and a quickshifter which is pretty cool.

They need to make a new zxr 400 with a four cylinder engine to be honest cause the 90s are moving further and further away from us all.

Happy new year to everyone its 2021

I forgot to mention, I had a fall at snetterton race track a few months ago. The alternator cover broke and all the engine oil came out. I fitted a new alternator cover and put fresh oil and the bike started straight away and went back to normal after about 30 seconds.

The bike has been amazing in the one year of owning it. I have done 8000 miles on it in one year and it has never broken down on me or let me down. I had to change the cam chain tensioner and that was it (cost me 216 pounds fitted)

It has been more reliable than the cbr 400 which I have as well (shock face)

You talking about the ZX-25R? The new Japan-only bike? Plus a few other countries but not here. It would be a bit pointless and at £6500 wouldn't be a good seller. You probably saw it in the Feb issue of Practical Sportsbike where they compared it to the ZXR400. Yes, a new ZXR400 would be interesting but the problem, in my opinion, is that it would look like the current crop of sports bikes. I don't really care for the angular style, with what look like superfluous bits of plastic sticking out. Give me a 90's style bike any day

Didn't know we weren't going to get the new 250cc Kawasaki.

hi everyone

I just got my zxr 400 MOT passed. I got an advisory for my front brake pads which are a little bit low. I have bought the pads for the front callipers now.
The current Mileage is 28306 miles. The last MOT was in Jan 2021, wow its been a while not going anywhere

I bought a Hayabusa recently as well, I've done 174mph at Elvington airfield in 1.2mile from a standing start.

Back to the zxr, not sure what I may do with it. It's a great bike to ride, done a 13.19 sec quarter mile time at Santa Pod and have taken it to cadwell and snetterton.
