Re: Project RVF stocker...ish
Got myself one of those remote fuel tanks so I thought I'd see if the old girl runs
and bugger me if she fired straight up! Only to get turned off pretty shrarpish as there was fuel pissing from the bottom of no3 carb.
So good and bad.
Got the carbs off, lucky really as the previous owner didnt think it neccessary to tighten up the inlet rubber clamps.
Got the bowl off no3 to find nothing wrong, guessing the float was just sticking a bit, not the first time Ive had this.
Quick clean up and put back togehter. Fired up and no leaking fuel, good good.
Now I know the stock TCI works, replaced it with the HRC item
And then fitted Rick Olivers earth upgrade kit

Some ethanol free fuel back in the tank, left for a bit to double check its not leaking. Then back on the bike.
Gave it a quick run to check for leaks again and run the fuel through the carbs.
Got the seat unit back on after a clean.
Checked the set cover fits as it should.
And got it undercoated

Got the cover painted white, after being assured the mixed/coded can is the correct for NH196 Ross white.
Its not, in fact the white cover doesn’t match well at all.
It’ll do for now. The number board graphics weren’t dear so I may attempt at getting a better match directly from the bike at a later date.

yep that doesn't look right..
I'm not sure (as in fairly positive) that the primer is also white as well.

I agree, should have used a white primer, but its still much more of a cream than a white

Re: Project RVF stocker...ish
Picked this box up today, after the seat cowl balls up I was a tad nervous
Mudguard is all good
Fitted
Front cowl looks good too, happy days, some jobs should be left to professionals maybe
Got the headlights in etc and on the bike for a quick test fit
Doesnt really show up but the screen is looking really 2nd hand now, may get a new clear one.
