TICK OVER IS TOO FAST ?
Hello all.
Just cleaned my carbs and re fitted, after several attempts at getting it started all seems fine now, carbs on carbs off carbs on carbs off lol
BUT it seems to be ticking over too fast ? there is absolutely no tension on the throttle cable and the idle adjust "knob" is not even in contact with the carb.
It sits at about 1500 rpm and wont go any lower ?
Is there another screw or something I should be adjusting ?
I did have starting issues but that was the choke "arm" not activating three of the four carbs cos some numpty had forgotten to tighten the screws up again (I was that Numpty)
Thanks guys
Geoff

Pilot air / mixture screws would affect the idle if they're not set correctly.

Re: TICK OVER IS TOO FAST ?
Double check for an air leak. Spray some easy start around the carb rubbers/ inlets (not near the air intake) and see if the revs rise higher - if so then you have an air leak. Perished inlet rubbers or poorly sealed carbs can cause the same symptom. Good luck
