Re: Ignitech cdi's
Hi,
I posted this thread a while ago regarding those race CDI's:
http://www.400greybike.cc/newforum/view ... =26&t=5151" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I do not know much about them, I pm'd Rick Oliver and he can order them in. As far as I know the TCI and the TCIP4 fit the NC29.
I'd like one but I'd have no idea on how to set one up, if there was a preloaded HRC map on the CDI then I would buy one off Rick, he sells the NC30/35 version with HRC map preloaded.

Re: Ignitech cdi's
I have one for my 30. It is great.
Have a read on the ignition timing and suck like adn you can easily begin to test your bike. If you make a mess, just load another map..
If you can get a copy of the HRC curve or even the basics of the addtional advance over standard then you can fiddle with it until you are happy.

But doesnt that cost a lot of money in terms of Dyno time? I think I'd bankrupt myself lol :)

Re: Ignitech cdi's
Nope - I got mine, got a basic map on it and went for a spin - it was noticably crisper and for whatver reason the large midrange flatspot I used to haev was gone..it jsut whipped through it. I am looking to go and get a session on Simon_ed's dyno and do a back to back run with o/e versus Ignitech. Should be interesting.
This kind of mod sorts your bike out and keeps it's value. how many people spend £150 on tat for the bikles that doesn't make it any faster, lighter, better etc?

Re: Ignitech cdi's
I was planning to put one on my track / budget race bike, I suppose I could use a test day along with the laptop to come up with a good map.
Just curious, how much does a Dyno session cost? I was told it costs quite a bit..
