Nc21 tail mods
Hello all hope this is the right place to be asking questions. Ive recently bought a battered nc21 and am making it my own, i just wanted to know if anyone has ever customised the tail section of one of these (it has the conjoined rider and pillion seat) and if they have any tips or things to look out for

Re: Nc21 tail mods
if it helps the nc24 rear cowl / seats bolt straight onto the subframe.

Re: Nc21 tail mods
That is helpful and may be one possible route, thankyou, however i was looking to give the tail a less blocky look possibly involving some fabrication to the subframe and modification of what is left of the fairings and the plastic mudguard thing that sits under the tail, i was wondering if anything similar has been done by anyone on here and if they had to relocate any parts. I'm going to attempt to change the rear lights for a more modern look to. PS im not butchering a perfectly good bike i chose this bike to make my own purely due to its decrepit state.

Re: Nc21 tail mods
seen it done to a ZXR before

Not really my cup of tea but each to their own.. the square shape is a characteristic of the era of the bike. The rest of the lines of the bike dont really match up well with the high back end.
Making it look like something else you may as well just buy one is my approach.
as for the subframe, you could chop it up and use a sealed battery mounted flat to clear up some of the space, although the shock adjuster might be in the way of getting a cleaner line

Re: Nc21 tail mods
Hmmm i agree in this instance, im not looking for that kind of look i just wanted to tidy the thick back end up and maybe upgrade the bikes rear lighting to some LEDs. Had a good look at the insides of the tail today and there is so much going on in there that remodelling is going to be very difficult if im going to have a quality result.
Thanks for your help its made me think abit more carefully before trying to improve hondas design XD
