Lots of sanding, primer and rinse repeat but I'm nearly there. Managed to get 3 coats of white on today. A few more and I'll give it a polish all over.

Almost there
Almost, almost there

I'm still on the look out for a tank with a hole for the fuel sender if anyone has one

I still have a new clutch, cable and oil and filter change to do. Still haven't found another tank.

Nice one, looks like a brand new tank!
After the primer and the several layers of white, do you apply a layer of clearcoat/lacquer?

Also where did you get the decal?

Usually I would, in this instance I chose to leave the lacquer off. The paint I chose is cheap and available by the drum, if it gets chipped or scratched I can very easily mask, sand and re-paint the affected area. It will polish up very easily and you wouldn't noticed it. If I clear coat, its no longer a quick fix.

Decal was custom job off a company on Ebay.

Cheers for the reply, that sounds like the best way forward.

I ask only because the missus was moving her 125 out of the garage and managed to scrape a bit of the Showa sticker on the rear gas cartridge off, and I want to replace it. Spatial awareness for you!

Not sure how easy it would be to get a replacement sticker so considering getting one from somewhere online custom as you have.
