It doesn't appear to be, only the nos is being added through a fogger.

If a separate injector was used you could set the jets up as normal.

Edit: Now i'm confused, you did say that fuel and nos are being injected together in an above post?
Haha your not the only one thats confused, the way I read it was that a fuel pump was suppling the carbs and an extra injector for the additional fuel required to support the nitrous, which was why I asked if there was any need to change the jets!

From my experience with nitrous (which is limited to cars) an extra jet to supply fuel specifically for when 'on the button' would to me be the logical choice, plus the easiest to tune.

If your bikes always having extra fuel it's going to run like uber-shite, be about as economical as a Hummer and worse case do some major engine damage.

Now I can't for the life of me remember how to calculate how much extra fuel you would need but if you speak to a nitrous specialist i'm sure they'll be able to help you get it sorted.

hi guys, been talking to a few of the nos specialists and they say it aint a problem... just to set the carb's up as normal when the nitrous is used any extra fuel needed will come threw the foggers supplied by the fuel pump in the nitrous kit!!!
ahhh i can stop panicing now!!!

Dont hook the fuel pump up to your carby supply, the NO2 pump will be high pressure and overpowert he needle and seat flooding the carbies.

i'd like to know that before i start messing around with NOS and open carbs.

i know G-Force are up to 80oddhp but they have fancy pants rods, pistons and now cranks to cope with it.
It's not having what you want but wanting what you've got....Loud ,Proud and Modified ....

NC30V wrote:hi guys,
help required!!!
bought a jet kit for my project nc30
but a bit confused by the kit,
the kit is as follows
2 packs of needles 8zg and 8zf
2 packs of washers 0.5 and 1.0
front main jets 4 hole
rear main jets 5 hole
5 packs of jets 140, 142.5, 145, 147.5 and 150 each pack containing 2 jets

this tells me front and rear jets are differant sizes huh??
also which are best ones to fit??

cheers

i'm sorry maybe i got the wrong end of the stick but when you put this up i thought you where going down the open carb route as needles 8ZG and 8ZF and jets 140-150 are used on open carbed bikes, who did you get the kit off if you don't mind me asking?

The bottom end should hold togehter if you avoid detonation.

The stroker crank the G-force guys are using creates a fair bit higher piston speed for the same rpm which trows a lot more strain on the con-rods on the exhaust/intake crossover.

The standard CDI will protect from over-revving which is the cause of most no lean out NO2 relate engine fatalities.

Lean it out or detonate it and it you will burn pistons or hammer bearings pretty quickly though.
