Hi done the right leg. On the left the collar that goes on the damper dropped off into my oil collector so I'm not sure which way up this goes on the rebuild.
Some pics on this and other forums show it lip side up, but

shows it lip side down.
As other pics also show missing components out of forks I'm tempted to follow cmsnl diagram. But it looks right the other way.... confused!!! pls help.

as per pm.
but if you clean the lower fork leg out and shine a light into it you should be able to see an impirnt of the collar where it has been pressing against the fork-leg
i think this is how i deteremined mine many moons ago
