What tyres
HI everybody, i have been after a nc35 for a long time, but they have been out of my price range
But the other day i saw one on ebay, rather smashed up,got a nice number plate "RVF" so a deal was done. damage is only to the plastics :) .
my questions are what size tyres and what type is best.
o what do you think about the chinky farinings ??? as it needs the top, both middles and both rears.
Best regards alistair

Re: What tyres
I'm not sure about size but the bridgestone bt090's are the best (best for riding to the limit not commuting) I've heard the fairings aren't too bad for the price, i'm sure someone who has them fitted to their bike will be along to tell you shortly.

Re: What tyres
IIRC its 150/60/17 120/60/17
Thats what I have always ran Im sure anyway.
FWIW, a tyre is only as good as its purpose in hand. With out being rude, can you ride the thing off the rails? wet use?
A good start is Bridgestone BT92's, they will give good mileage, good in the wet and I can still shred the edges on the road like people do on the track.
BT090's are my choice. However my first RVF came with Mitchelin Pilot powers, they were pretty good. You wont really go far wrong with bridgestone IMO.
However I am brand loyal to Bridgestone and Pirelli and run generally either BT92's, BT090's on smaller 400cc bike or the Pirelli super Corsa 3 or BT016 on 600cc or above. Very generally.

+ 1 excellent all round road tyre, use them on my girlfriends bike and she has managed to wear out the edges of the back tyre before the middle on the last 3 sets ! (she is a bit heavy handed though)
dont forget about dunlop alpha 10's, very very sticky and confidence inspiring and far better than 090's in the wet.. last about 5 minutes though.

Thanks very much for all your advice :) :) i'm going to pop the wheels off and get some bt92's. i'm not a hard rider, i won't use a bike in the wet
