RACE CDI - Ignitech TCIP4 - Any reviews?
Hi All,
I am trying to prep an NC29 for racing and I have come across an Ignitech TCIP4. I am aware you can also buy the HRC CDI and Loom but they cost quite a lot.
My bike is running a standard loom and CDI, this Race CDI fits to a standard loom. Has anyone used one of these before? any feedback?
In general what are the benefits of fitting a Race CDI unit? and how difficult is it to set up with maps etc. Does it take a lot of Dyno work?
Thanks

Hi Zimm,
Thanks for that, I came across Rick's thread after posting this one.
Would be good to know if anyone has used one on an NC29 :)

When I get my '30 finished before this Saturday the job will be a good 'un.
I will be going to the Dyno Day at Simon_Ed's work near Donington this Sat coming and will run back to back on the o/e CDI and the Ignitech one I have. http://www.400greybike.cc/newforum/view ... &sk=t&sd=a" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Seat of the pants says it works and I know it does.. will be good to see it on the dyno charts.

Hi,
Thanks for the info, I shall look forward to hearing how it performs with your NC30..Do you have the HRC map preloaded or a self made custom one?
I've got an NC30 too so maybe I'll get a new CDI for that as well off Rick.. but first of all my 29 needs sorting :)
