Carbon fibre bits?

Post by manicguitarist »

Back in the day...(eeee...when I whur a lad... and so on) - it seemed that CF bits could be gotten from everywhere for pretty much every kind of bike for very little money.

I had a bird strike on my YZF750 taking out the front fender - and a CF replacement arrived within the week...and it was cheaper than the OEM Yamaha part...

The front fender on my RVF has a small crack in it.

Whilst I've found a few suppliers for a front fender for the RVF - they are all £100+ - maybe this is just inflation - it is 20yrs since I last bought some CF parts....but can anyone recommend anywhere for a replacement front fender? Ideally CF - I just think it looks cool. I know, I know...but still. :)

Thanks guys!

Cheers. I'll check that out.
Wonder why it has gotten more expensive. It was quite new tech back in my YZF750 days...now it is common place!

Its because they were all wet payed and then vacuum bagged where as now everything is prepeg and has to be f1 quality,
You pays for what you get.
