CBR400R NC23 J Help

Post by PayneJack23 »

Hi all I am new to bikes and new to the cbr 400 nc23. I understand that it is restricted due to being a Japanese import. I was just looking for some guidance as I have found out that I can get the gold labled cdi to de restrict speed and allow revs to 10,000 but how can I fully de restrict the rev counter as when the bike was getting over 7/8000 revs it started to struggle a little

If its had a 33bhp restriction kit fitted there may be restrictors fitted in the inlet rubbers ? 8-)

The restriction is purely to do with speed. when you hit a certain kmph the bike cuts ignition to 2 cylinders, hence wont accelerate more.

If your revs struggle this points to something else.

Easiest way to bypass restriction is get a KMph to MPH converter for the speedo cable. That's what I have and mine managed 120mph plus (on track)

I have a gold ECU fitted No speed limit or rev limit. Even a blue ecu will not limit you to 10k I think. You can get a programmable ECU from GF racing, also have seen some Chinese ones on e bay.
J should have a gold ECU
