NC35 possible forks replacements
Hi guys.
I need to replace forks on mt NC35.
What do you guys recommend? OEM from Honda or some other bike's forks?
Let me know if you have any good forks for sale as well.
I've spent so much time rebuilding the bike and the front end is shit!
I just want a set of excellent forks ready to fit - I don't even want to change oil and seals (as i did on my current forks...).
So fed up...
Let me know people please.
Cheers

+1, as good as you,ll need on the road if set up well, better than most riders without a doubt.

We've std forks on NC35#1 (our road/track bike), one of the nicest frontends I've experienced.

Re: NC35 possible forks replacements
have you tried rebuilding them with different internals if you are really not happy?
i mean if you are rebuilding everything else?
.
Get some rick oliver springs(site member), they are stiffer and linear, gives a great front end feel, he also does a DIY gold valve rework thingy too, all top quality stuff. i am guessing you have standard springs which will be dead now after all these years.
or if you really wanna splash the cash, you can send em to maxton or ohlins or someone to rework the whole internals for you, but unless you are a racing god, you wont notice the difference between theirs and ricks.
or if you really dont want em, send em to me for the price of postage to get em out of your hair?

Re: NC35 possible forks replacements
I'm not saying the forks are shit, the front end feels shit since I rebuilt the bike (rebuilt forks too)
I must have made some mistake putting fork internals back together. The point is I want new set to quickly swap it and continue riding. Then I will take my old forks apart and rebuild them again.
Since you are saying that the stock forks are as good as I can get then it's simple choice.
I will get another set of those.
The thing is I don't want to put the bike on the stand again and leave it there for 2 weeks.
I've spent much more time rebuilding than riding and now I just want to ride this bloody thing
But thanks All for clarifying this.
'New' set of stocks on the way. Let's see how I get on with them.
Cheers!

Re: NC35 possible forks replacements
so you would rather spend more money on another set of forks than spend a weekend at most to rebuild your forks?

Re: NC35 possible forks replacements
If you are getting a "new set" to make kife easier for yourself why dont you either rebuild them with better internals or get someone to rebuild/upgrade them for you and just swap them once?
