Recommended mechanic for NC30 in Gloucestershire
Hi everyone, does anybody know of a mechanic or garage who would be worth calling to replace the clutch on my NC30? Ideally in Cheltenham, but I can travel within Gloucestershire.
The bike's clutch isn't disengaging fully, and it's difficult/impossible to put in neutral when warm. Rolling it backwards in gear with the clutch lever fully in, it makes a horrible wheezing/scraping sound, and if you roll it backwards in neutral with the ignition on but not running, it fires up! So I don't want to ride it until I can sort this. Cable adjustement did not solve it so I think the clutch needs to come out and replace some/all the plates.
Usually I do the work on this bike myself, but I don't have the tools for this job (100nm torque wrench, clutch nut wrench, clutch basket puller) and I don't have the time at the moment either. I'm wary of garages/mechanics having expereinced some sharp practice in the distant past before I started working on my own bikes, and I'm aware the NC30 requires specialised tools and knowledge, so if anybody from the area has recommendations of people who are good with them I would appreciate it. Cheers!
