With the trackday season fast approaching i thought it was about time i pulled the RVF out from hibernation and got all the little jobs done, when last out i had the 675 forks fitted but one of the legs leaked fluid and the float bowl seals on the carbs had finally had enough of all the taking apart to rejet and were also leaking very badly although it did make a nice job of cleaning the engine

So this is why the fork leg was leaking,

Not sure what has happened here but someone has had a go at reparing it in the past which obviously hasnt worked. In 2 minds with what to do abut this, either attempt a repair to get me through a few trackdays and then replace with some new black coated stancions over the winter or, replace the stancion now and hope it doesnt get chipped bad enough to have it coated at a later date. Ideal situation would be to buy 2 new coated stancions now but i cant afford them :(

Another job ive been meaning to do for some time, fit the SPA dash and HRC temp gauge. Oh and some new yokes and alloy clock mount too to tidy it up,

How do you rate the 675 forks over a set of reworked 35 forks , I'm tempted to do the swap but I have a decent front brake set up that wouldn't work with the radial front end

Hmmmm thats nice, i still think the 675 front end will be better overall. The stock 675 brake are awesome on the NC its hard to imagine anything being better.

Can you get narrow track radial calipers? if so keep the discs and get some of them.

Shame about that fork, quite the kicker.

What sort of temp repair you thinking?
