im led to believe is slightly quicker got a closer ratio box and a throttle position sensor i think it alters timing depending on fuel demand obviously if im wrong someone will correct me

Aside from the close-ratio transmission, the SPII has fully adjustable forks, larger carbs, a completely different CDI (which advances the timing) and larger bearings in the bottom end.

good shit the closer ratio box goes in a bandit 400 as well as a 73a if you dont already have it.
