A supercharger is a huge set of gears driven by the drive belt, so yes they sound the same. The best sound IMHO, I'd take a supercharger over a turblow any day!keithcar wrote:wow. ive just now realised the whine of the gear cams sound almost indentical to the whine of a supercharger.

Re: Sounds like a Honda V4!
Sounds nothing like a v-twin. Maybe it doesn't sound like a NC30/RC30 etc, but it definitly sounds like a NC24/VFR800 etc.

Do you mean VFR750 rather than 800, IRIC the 800 went to the 360 degree engine (as is the NC30/RC30), the NC24 and RC24 are 180 degree V4's.aaron0288 wrote:Sounds nothing like a v-twin. Maybe it doesn't sound like a NC30/RC30 etc, but it definitly sounds like a NC24/VFR800 etc.

Re: Sounds like a Honda V4!
Oops, I did mean the VFR750. And yes, the RC30 and NC30 don't sound exactly the same, but they both have that nice smooth V4. All I wanted to point out was that it sounds nothing like a V-twin.
