Trying to identify Bandit 400 engine...
This past October I purchased a Bandit 400 and I don't know much of its history.
The sticker on its frame shows a date of 8/92 but I don't know if the engine is original to the frame. I've done some disassembly of the bike as part of an overall refurbishment and upgrade. When I took the engine's left-side cover off I found that the Signal Generator looks like this:

I've looked around on the web and can't find another pic of a Bandit 400 Signal Generator that matches mine. Does anybody here on GreyBike recognize this thing?
Just for comparison, here's what the normal Bandit 400 Signal Generator looks like:

Thanks

also...
The frame-sticker has a manufacture date of 8/92 on it.
The VIN on the frame begins with JS1GK75A
The engine is coded: K707-140303
and I don't know if the engine is original to the bike.

Finally... an answer.
It took a while for the information to come to me and in the end it came from a direction I wasn't expecting, just another guy asking a question and using this page as an example...
