i have a Jap import can you tell me will it have the carb restrictor washers in and if so, if I take them out will it run better or not.?

There are no factory standard restrictor washers.

It may have some 33BHP or even 47BHP aftermarket washers in there but you will need to check yourself.

The JDM bikes had a factory speed restriction of 180Kph (112mph) that stopped you from going any faster.

There are a few ways to remove this, cut the disc in the speedo itself so it never triggers the restriction, get a de-restriction box from Rick-O (about £6 if I remember right), wire in your own 2K ohm resistor or buy an overpriced aftermarket plug in box that you can often find on eBay.

It may have already been removed, but if it's just a road bike then you shouldn't be going faster than 70mph anyway ;)
