Poor running... POSH FIRM box??
My NC30 has a spluttery misfire/flat spot around 6000 rpm, I suspected fuelling but unplugging the POSH FIRM box seems to have cured it.
Is this box a delimiter and are they known for problems.
Back in the day I used to knock up a basic PCB to plug in instead of the speedo sensor that told the cdi that it was always travelling below 112mph. I used this on ZXRs and FZRs but never a Honda - anyone else used this method?

Yeah, the de-restrictor box can be home made with a 5p resistor, use the search function and look for resistor mod.
you can also open the speedo and bend the tab out of the way.
