Re: SV650 ENGINE
probably enough room for it. Someone on the KR1S forum did it (in a KR1S frame), but it was a bit of a work up

Re: SV650 ENGINE
You want to put a V-Twin in a frame designed for an In Line 4?
It wouldn't be impossible. But it would be a lot of work.
Why do you want to do that?

Yes! a lot of work.
Im sure the SV motor hangs in the frame where as the 76a motor sits in the frame.

Everything is possible.
Why an SV650 engine? It's a lot of work to gain about 6bhp

Re: SV650 ENGINE
The thing is, right, is when you do put a larger engine in a smaller bike you lose the whole essence of the bike and it stops being as much fun as with the smaller engine fitted. This is just my subjective opinion based on having had a couple of FZR4/6 hybrids. I much prefer the 400 engine because I use my bike for fun and I enjoy wringing its neck, I don't commute on it or anything.Jac-al wrote:Does anyone know of anybody whos put any bigger engine in one of these bikes successfully?
I can see the appeal of building something ridiculous like a 4/11 though
