Thoughts on this bike.?

Post by steve92 »

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1989-HONDA-VF ... 3f81Anyone know the history of this bike.?

I've been thinking of starting a project nc30 bike for quite a while now but just never got round to it.

Should i go for the likes of this and save a load of money on a good paint job.?

This bike looks really clean and paint work too. If i was buying one i would be looking one with near mint paint work.

I think if this bike was as clean as it looks in the pictures it would be the way to go.

What do you all think.?

I've owned a few Seed NC30's and I think this is a really clean looking one. Competitively priced too.

Looks quite good. If good paint on factory panels is what you're after then you could do a lot worse than this.

The discs and calipers have been repainted (originals should be gold), apart from that the bike looks quite standard.

That loosk really good and unmolested but ideally take someone from here who knows a lot about them with you if you buy it. Perhaps knock a bit off it too with any faults found.

Cammo.. they look like original calipers to me, my gold ones are as light as tha. but as you said could have had a repaint.

If its unmolseted it will be a K model, meaning it has the damper rod type front forks and crappy rear shock.

Buying something like that (if it is decent) seems a good idea, you can save having to repair and rebuild lots of stuff and fit a better rear shock and later type forks and it will handle nice.
