NC29 White Smoke?

Post by Tyreal »

Hi again^^

Ive recently got my NC29 out the garage again and stuck her up, Last time when I rode her was a few weeks ago.
Ive noticed a fair bit of white smoke coming from the exhaust,
The temperature outside was 3 degrees, which is about 37-40 Fahrenheit.
she smokes a little bit after warm up too but not as bad.

There no oil in the coolant either, there was a very very slight tiny bit of mayoish junk of the dipstick but nothing what I'm too worried about.

Got a little video on Youtube here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UMgbVSCN ... e=youtu.be

Should I be worried about the Head gasket?

sorry cant view your vid due to the remotness of my link to the net but theres a good chance its condensation. you really need to ride the bike for a while to warm it up enough for the consendation to dissapear. i love starting my bike in cold foggy weather and immediatly pulling up at traffic lights. cars just dissapear in the fog thats added by me, much merryment.. chances are the emulsion on your dipstick is due to not getting hot enough to burn away, possibly due to weekly warm starting not getting hot enough. best take her for a good ride.

yeh that's not smoke - smoke hangs around, that's just warm air from the exhaust meeting the cold air outside. Nowt to worry about. Mine's exactly the same

Yes - dont worry - this is because the weather is cold :) Look at the cars''s exhaust on the traffic light - all of them smoke like that :) This is from the weather :)
