hi guys.....update after a long time.......bought another loom, but that was modded for a single headlight and no clocks, so had to frankestine a loom for my bike, plugged it in and the bike cranked over, then opened the carbs and cleaned 3 years of standing dirt out, hooked them back up, filled them with fuel and it fired up, sounds nice too. i need help with the fuel tank. i cant figure out how the hoses will go on them. there is a pipe coming out the middle bottom of the tank, if i pour any fuel in, it comes straight out that pipe, can someone help me how to plumb the tank in please ?

cheers

Hi the pipe that comes off bottom of tank should be a tube that runs to the top of the tank in the gulley of the filler neck is there in case you over fill the tank and should have a pipe to guide fuel to the ground missing the hot bits i.e exhaust .Sounds like your tube inside the tank has a hole in it .You could test with tank off and filler cap off blow up the pipe feel for air at hole on top or block top hole whilst blowing.
Other pipes 2 go to carbs (feed pipes ) small pipe middle rear of tap goes to top of carbs plastic caps vacuum pipe for fuel flow.

On mine they were just routed down the back of the carbs not connected to anything .So i left them like that Although not sure if that is how they are meant to be.

that may be right, today when i was connection the carbs back, i turned them up side down and fuel came out of them, so i think they may be some sort of over fuel vents

but i think the overfuel pipe in my tank is leaking as when i poured fuel in the tank it came straight out the bottom pipe, so will have to investigate that :(

Hose A and B vent to atomosphere. They pressurize or vent the float bowls. They route over the top the airbox. I believe they are designed to slide into those litte clips on the front of the air filter.

that make perfect sense, thanks for that mate

in other news, got the fuel tank plumbed in, all working good. but my battery is completely flat, showing signs of recharging, but if i take the jump leads off the bike wont rev past 4000. also anyone know of any cheap exhaust for sale ? e bay wants £50, cant afford that atm. also might need some clutch parts as my clutch cover is not secured and it looks too empty to work, will post pics later as well, but thanks to all for helping me getting my bike this far bighug
