Nc30 kill switch problem?
Recently ive been having starting issues.
Ive just had the stator generator replaced, along with the reg/rec and male connecting block. (all of the 5 wires are wired into the loom correctly) and the bike wont start. It will turn over, but wont bite. The bike will start via bump start fine, and the kill switch being flicked to off will turn the engine off, but when in the run position, it wont start. Ive been having this issue for a while, thought it was the charging system not having the power for the engine to bite so i changed the alternator but to no avail. If nothing comes of this, im going to buy a new kill switch and hope it rectifies the problem!

What is your battery voltage?
The black/white wire that runs to the ignition coils and the ignition control unit supplies power from the run/stop switch. If you can measure battery voltage, 12.5 volts or more, at these points when the switch is in the run position then the switch is ok.
When you say the engine cranks but will not catch what is the battery voltage when the engine is cranking? As bikemonkey says a weak battery may be giving a poor spark while cranking. Bump starting leaves the battery with only the ignition to run and can thus mask a weak/flat battery.

The battery is fairly new, gave it a full 12 hour charge the last night before getting the alternator changed, i dont know about the voltage its giving out, will have to get the multimeter out tomorrow and have a look.my mechanic is a bit baffled aswell, he took the kill switch apart as much as he was willing to, he said the terminals were burnt so he cleaned them as best he could

First things first, I have no idea how to use the multimeter, it had so many options of use that i just gave up as i wasn't getting a reading from the battery.
I have, however, pretty much narrowed it down to the kill switch. The engine is definitely getting fuel, air, sparks and the battery was turning over fast enough to start it. I was playing around with the switch after checking the above, pressed it into the run position as hard as i could and i fired up, so ignition off, ignition on and it started again so ignition went off (without touching the switch) put the bike back together and tried to start it again and it wouldnt fire, so hopefully, it is just the switch. Ordering a new one and will update this after fitting.

Have you tried bumping it off and switching it off with the key, then try and start it with the starter? Mabe try and strip killswitch down and clean it out.

Yes ive bumped it, let it warm up turned it off with the key and it wont start on the kill switch, its a proper pain. The insides of the switch were quite.. Used lets say, they were cleaned but it didn't make a difference

Oh right, could you try and solder the two wires together that goto the switch, that would make sure its that and not something else, or maybe even connector block for a quick test?

If i had a souldering iron, id love to make this a really easy quick fix, but ive only really got access to basic tools so i could take it apart myself and have a look at it, clean it but thats about it so i think il have to start there. Thanks!

Right, so ive taken the switch off of the bike, cleaned the terminals into the ignition, cleaned the pins into the loom, taken the switch apart as far as i could (taken the actual switch out of its housing) and cleaned the metal contacts as well as i could. put it back together and back on the bike, made no difference still turns over without biting.
Ive got another kill switch coming some point this week, hopefully its something as simple as that.
