GK76a with 750 fairing for sale on the bay
Came across this tonight on evilbay a bitsa but shows it can be done, even if the tail looks wrong. Often wondered how later fairings would look... What do we think?

I guess I see the exact opposite. The front (upper) doesn't even look close to fitting correctly and the tail looks decent but not period correct obviously.

Haha this is the cut and shut i brought lol poor me.
The bike has the k4 /k5 fairing. With a micarno set made brackets
. First impressions looks great but up close the side fairings stick out way too much and need to be trimmed down. And because all the fairing brackets have to be hand made to fit you dont get enough support. For example at higher speeds the aerodynmics will creat downforce causing too much pressure on the front fairing ... And if the brackets aint made properly = DISASTER!!!
My personal thoughts are buy a conversion kit and modify that if your wanting some thing totally unique.
As for me and this gixxer 4 we have a long road to recovery. All the rear aub frame has been cut to accept the new rear fairing. Missing rad mounts etc etc plus carb rebuild n balancing etc you get the idea.

Hi mate, did you just buy this off ebay? Do you think fairing mounts from the later bike might fit yours?

No i think i brought this off gumtree. Although it were advertised else where. I doubt the other brackets would fit.
May be able to cut n re weild not sure. All i know is if it aint done with great care n percision the downforce created by the wind will tear the bike fairing apart. Shame really cause looked smart from the front n that

I saw it on gumtree. Cant deny the bike looked good from the front side, maybe the rad looks a little small? in proportion but if done right with the mounts as you say that could be a very smart moto!!

Re: GK76a with 750 fairing for sale on the bay
Hello all, I am new to this forum and this is my first post.
Sorry for awakening an old thread but this thread interest me and I can't help but to ask the question. I have owned a GK76A for the last 8 years and I love it. But it has come to the point where I want to do a rear conversion to bring its looks into a more modern age. I was thinking about trying to get a K4 600 rear end on it but I haven't a clue where to start. Does anyone know of any instructions out there on how I can do a rear end conversion or if there are any other rear ends then would fit better on a GK76A?
To be honest any help and advice would be greatly received and the more the merrier to help me make a decision and so I don't go into this project blind.
Tonyj - the rear end on your GK76 looks lovely. Have you got any advice you can give me on how its done and what rear end you used? I look forward to all of you and any help you can give me
Many thanks
