3TJ gear shifter question

3TJ gear shifter question

Is the rod end on the gearbox shaft (ie not the rod end that's attached to the gear lever itself) left hand or right hand thread? I haven't got a complete 3TJ to hand to check. Ta.

Hi Kayla;presuming you are on with the rearsets?
The pedal rod is threaded right hand at the gear change clamp rose joint and left hand at the pedal rose joint..
This is true of all Yamahas.
A red box doth not a Snap On make.

I thought all bikes were like that, I guess they could be the other way round though. it wouldn't work if they were both the same

Bill, yes I'm on with the rearsets now- we're getting there, poco a poco as they say in Spain!
