98-99 will reduce movement by a lot and give a firmer feel. Much better.

This would do it too and is cheap.
However for stuff like this which is so common you'd just as well find a local breaker and save on postage.

Word of warning on Brembo calipers (I recently bought a 916SP and found all this out)...

They are notoriously hard to rebuild as Brembo doesn't make their seals available as parts to service them! If you hunt around and google a bit, you'll find that KTM will supply dust and piston seals from Brembos, but none of the other manufacturers where these calipers were fitted as OE (Ducati, Aprillia etc.) will.

Even then you will not find the seal that joins the caliper halves anywhere, so general advice is not to split them. (Which makes it really time consuming to swap out the seals!).

seams the 2001 / 2003 master cylinder is not easy to find in Aus so i am looking OS, atm i am tossing up between the Nissin Honda 2001 / 2003 master cylinder or a Brembo

is it a silly question to ask what would work better ?
i would guess the Brembo is but the Honda Nissin unit would supposedly fit my already purchased cnc levers

I had this problem recently and after a bit of digging i was pointed towards these guys http://www.powerhouseautomotive.co.uk/
They knew of the problem and were able to supply seals including the half seals for 916 brembo's. The only problem i had was the caliper half bolts especially the rear caliper, it seems brembo dont want you to remove them either as they were badly corroded and made from cheese so it seems.

I dont agree, a mate runs a std master cylinder with brembos on a cbr400
It works fine (2 finger braking)

The brembos fitted to my nc30 are from RSV, and use the RSV master cylinder. They work exremely well.
Might be worth looking for RSV master cylinder.

my calipers came from a Ducati that's why i am leaning towards a Brembo gold line master cylinder from a Ducati , keep in mind i cannot use a radial master cylinder due to period racing

well i have bought a 2003 CBR 954 Honda master cylinder which is on it's way atm & also i am bidding on a 2001 Gold line series Brembo from a 2001 Ducati 748R i'll try them both & see what works better for power & feel
